Origin: The 0.27 ha plot lies on the eastern slopes of the village of Saint-Amour.
Grape varieties: White-juiced Gamay noir
Soil: Bed of “Blue Stone”.
Pruning: Goblet
Vinification: The wine comes exclusively from this plot. Traditional Beaujolais vinification in gridded cement vats for 8–10 days, whole bunches with temperature control.
Bottled on the Estate in February / March, just 2000 bottles produced on the Estate.
Tasting: Strong purple colour with purplish-violet glints, aromas of red fruit and spices. This is a wine with the profound, voluptuous body typical of Saint-Amour.
Serving suggestion: Between 15–18°C
The Saint-Amour goes very well with red meats and sauced dishes, or with cheese.
The wine can be drunk within the year, but it can be kept for 2–6 years, depending on the year.
